It is installed on D-240 engines, MTZ tractors of all series, and other agricultural machinery with engines of the same brand.
The pulley, impeller, and casing of the MTZ water pump are cast from grade СЧ20 cast iron using the sand-clay molding method. The pump shaft is made of steel 45, processed on lathes, and undergoes heat treatment on induction heat treatment units. The final processing stage involves grinding the seating areas on the shaft. The shaft then undergoes hardness, runout, and dimensional checks. The hub of the pulley is made of steel, unlike most manufacturers who use cast iron. The steel hub prevents premature damage to the keyway with which it is connected to the shaft, significantly extending the service life of the MTZ water pump.
The ball bearing unit installed on the MTZ pump was selected after a thorough study of the bearing market, choosing the optimal option considering price and quality.
The casing and pulley of the D 240 water pump are coated with anti-corrosion paint.
Functionality testing is carried out on a special stand that recreates the working conditions of the MTZ pump as on the tractor engine. On this stand, the pump is tested for tightness, functionality, and performance. It is through these tests that traces of rust can be detected on the internal surfaces of the pump.
After confirming the pump’s functionality, it is laser-marked with the “FORSAR” logo, manufacturing date, and packaged in the company’s packaging.
